Who we are
Art Pulse London is the data controller for personal data collected through this site. Contact: support@artpulselondon.com
What we collect
- Account details: name, email, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider).
- Order details: delivery address, phone number, order history.
- Artist applications: your name, email, location, medium, portfolio link and statement.
- Newsletter: your email address and subscription status.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, and basic usage analytics.
We do not store card numbers. Payments are processed by our payment provider.
Why we use it
- To perform our contract with you (orders, delivery, returns, artist payouts).
- For our legitimate interests (fraud prevention, service improvement, security).
- With your consent (marketing emails, you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To comply with legal obligations (tax and accounting records).
Artist open calls
If you tick the optional box on the artist application form, we use your name and email to tell you about future Art Pulse open calls, curatorial themes and artist opportunities. This is separate from your application: ticking it is never required to apply. Our legal basis is your consent. We record when you agreed and the wording you agreed to. You can withdraw at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any open-call email or by emailing support@artpulselondon.com. We do not share this list.
Sharing
We share data only as needed with our payment provider, email provider, hosting and database provider, and the artist fulfilling your order (delivery details only).
Retention
Order and tax records are kept for six years. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Artist applications are kept for curatorial review for up to two years. If you opted in to hear about future open calls, your name and email stay on that list until you unsubscribe, even after your application record is deleted.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Email support@artpulselondon.com. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
International transfers
Where data leaves the UK/EEA we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
