Rebecca Shevlin

Artist profile
Rebecca Shevlin is an emerging artist who uses painting as a cathartic exploration of her OCD, compulsions, and anxieties. Her practice focuses on capturing moments as she experiences them, using movement and colour intuitively and freely. She frequently draws on seascape imagery to explore the mercurial nature of life — its ebbs, flows, and constant movement. At the heart of her practice is an emphasis on fully experiencing the present, using this awareness as a means of imagining and creating new futures.
